Customize your list of Candidate status by adding, modifying, reordering and removing status based on your preference.

Each Candidate is associated with a particular Job as well as Client and Invoice, and to track the progress of the Candidate, you can have different statuses of the Candidate, which can be customized according to their requirements.
To customize the Candidate status, you need to click on the “Admin” option on the left side of the screen. Then go to the Customization tab and select the “ Recruitment workflow ” option.

After clicking on recruitment workflow the following screen will be visible as shown below.
The key purpose of this screen is to provide the facility to add, edit, reorder and remove status and help to track Candidates into the system as per their requirements.

You can also select the states that you wish to allow your clients or Hiring managers to update when they access the link of shortlisted candidates through the Job tracker link.

Step 1: Click on the “Add Workflow Stage” button available on the screen and add the below details to create a new status.
Status Stage Name
Status Stage Name is simply a category of statuses. iSmartRecruit provides predefined categories as mentioned below. You can choose the relevant category for the new status.
1. Applied: Use for candidates who are the newest applicants.
2. Candidate Pre-Screens Stage: Use for the candidates whose resume is under evaluation.
3. Screening Stage: Use for the candidates whose resume is found suitable and are under the screening process.
4. Internal Submission Stage: Use for positive candidates who are submitted for evaluation internally.
5. Client Interview Stage: Use for candidates suitable for interview.
6. Client Submission Stage: Use for candidates who are found suitable for the job and are worth the client's / Head of Department's consideration.
7. Hired Stage: Use for candidates who are offered the position.
8. Placement Stage: Use for candidates who accept the offer and are ready to join as employees.
9. Reject Stage: Use for rejected candidates, who are found not suitable for the vacancy.
Candidate Status
Create the Candidate Status as per your requirement. You can have multiple statuses under one stage name.
For example: Under the Screening Stage, you can have Candidate statuses such as Technical tests, Aptitude tests, Verbal communication evaluation, etc.
Allow client to Update
If you want the client to update your candidate status keep the "Allow Client to Update" switch ON.
Candidate Feedback
Candidate Feedback features can be turned ON in case you wish to request additional feedback on the candidate from the users who update the status of the applicant.
Status Color
You can allot any colour to the candidate status, as it becomes easier to identify and categorize candidates in various statuses.
Status Owner
From within the team, you can choose which particular user roles would have access to the created status to allot candidates.
Additional Automation
You can set the flag to ON of ‘Do you want to set up Automation on the status update?’ if you want to receive notification by email and/or growl and want to create tasks for the user under the selected role.
Email Notification: Mark the Role checked to whom you want to notify with the selected email template from the drop-down on a set of Candidate statuses.
Growl Notification: Mark the Role checked to whom you want to notify with the available message in the textbox on the set of Candidate status.
To-Do List Configuration: Mark the Role checked to whom you want to notify by creating a task with an available message in the textbox onset of Candidate status.
Note: You may not be able to Edit or delete a default status.
Editing or deleting a default status will show incorrect data count in Reports.
