Where You Can Access Notes

  • Grid View of the Candidate screen

Each of these areas provides a Notes icon, allowing you to quickly add or view notes for any candidate.


How to Add a Note to a Candidate

Step 1: Open the Add Note Window
  • Click the Notes icon in either the List View or Grid View on the Candidates screen.

  • Open a candidate’s profile and click on the note icon.


Step 2: Select a Note Type
  • Choose a Note Type from the dropdown to categorise the note.


  • By default, the system selects "General" as the note type.

Step 3: Customise Note Types (Optional)

You can create custom note types to match your internal workflows.

  1. Click the “+” icon next to the Note Type field.


  2. You will be redirected to catalog.

  3. Click Add New to open the Add Catalogue pop-up.


  4. Enter a Label and Value, then click Save.


  5. You can also edit or delete existing types using the pencil or X icon.


Note: After adding a new Note Type, click the refresh icon to update the dropdown list.


Add Notes to Multiple Candidates at Once

iSmartRecruit now supports adding the same note to multiple candidates in one go—ideal for bulk updates or shared feedback.

Steps to Add Notes to Multiple Candidates
  1. Go to the Candidate Module.

  2. Select multiple candidates using the checkboxes.

  3. Click on More Actions at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Select Add Note from the list.

  5. The Add Note dialog will appear. Fill in your note and select a Note Type as needed.

  6. Click Save. The same note will be added to all selected candidates.

This bulk note feature enhances team communication and saves time when handling groups of candidates with shared feedback or status updates.
